May 31 (Renewables Now) - Chinese solar module maker ZNShine PV-Tech Co Ltd, or ZNShine Solar, has inked an agreement to supply 100 MW of its panels for various projects as part of the Shams Dubai initiative.

The Chinese company signed the deal with Etihad Energy after winning a tender launched by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) in January. ZNShine will supply modules for installation on the rooftops of villas in Dubai under a project developed by DEWA and Etihad Esco.

According to a press statement, the pair seeks to execute multi-billion-dollar worth of projects involving retrofitting and solar rooftop deployment by 2030.

As part of the order, Znshine will deliver a combination of single glass modules and double glass modules. It has already started supplying the first batches.
