PGE's 262-MW Zarnowiec battery in Poland near commissioning

Polish utility PGE (WSE:PGE) is making progress on the 262 MW/981 MWh Zarnowiec energy storage project (BESS) after a key component, the 260-tonne power transformer, has been delivered.

Oman plans to add nearly 9 GW of wind and solar by 2030

Oman is planning to connect about 5.7 GW of solar and over 2 GW of wind power, along with battery energy storage systems and a 1-GW round-the-clock renewables project, to its grid between 2027 and 2030, according to the national grid operator.
