Bulgarian renewable energy contractor Solarpro Technology AD and Chinese battery manufacturer CATL (SHE:300750) have commissioned a 602-MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Burgas, Bulgaria, the companies said on Wednesday.

Energy storage and hybrid renewables developer Aypa Power and Arizona utility Salt River Project (SRP) have commissioned a 250-MW/1,000-MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Mesa, Arizona, adding four hours of storage capacity to support growing electricity demand in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
