UK clean energy technology company UrbanChain has signed a 15-year corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) with AMPYR Distributed Energy to buy surplus electricity exported from the latter's solar installations across the UK.

German independent power producer Encavis AG has been tapped to supply around 22.9 GWh of solar electricity annually to power several Italian production sites owned by Swedish engineering firm Alfa Laval Group (STO:ALFA).

Norway's Otovo ASA (OSE:OTOVO) said on Tuesday it had signed a letter of intent to acquire Israeli energy services company Green Panel Solar Energy Systems Ltd for USD 11 million (EUR 9.48m) in a bid to expand its presence in the Middle East and strengthen its own position in the residential and commercial segment.

Madrid-based renewable energy developer Matrix Renewables said on Tuesday it had wrapped up work on a 250-MW solar power cluster in Spain's Palencia province with the start-up of the 50-MW Adelfa Solar photovoltaic plant.

Spain-based renewable energy developer Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) has secured 2.3 GW of transmission grid capacity in Germany for a portfolio of solar, battery storage and hybrid projects targeted to reach ready-to-build status between 2026 and 2029.

Swedish photovoltaics (PV) installer Svea Solar said on Tuesday it has secured SEK 400 million (USD 36.8m/EUR 36.8m) in fresh financing in a US private placement with Canadian insurer Manulife Financial Corp (TSE:MFC).
