Alliant Energy Corp (NYSE:LNT) has entered into an agreement with NextEra Energy Resources LLC that will lead to the retirement of Iowa’s only nuclear power plant in 2020 and the purchase of more wind power.

The Colombian Ministry of Mines and Energy announced on Thursday that it will hold its first large-scale renewable energy auction in January 2019, looking to secure 1 GW of installed capacity. The tender will award 10-year PPAs.
