-- Petrobras starts binding stage for stake sales in 25 MW of small HPPs

Brazilian state-controlled oil and gas company Petroleo Brasileiro SA (BVMF:PETR4), or Petrobras, said it has started the binding phase in the sale process for its stakes in two small hydropower plants (HPPs) totalling 25.4 MW.

-- Aquila to acquire 20 MWp of Portuguese solar parks

Aquila European Renewables Income Fund plc (LON:AERS) has agreed to acquire a Portuguese portfolio consisting of 20 MWp of operational solar parks.

-- Hana Financial obtains funds for 162-MW Aussie solar project, plans sale

South Korea’s Hana Financial Investment Ltd (KRX:700001) has obtained debt financing for the recently-bought 162-MW Columboola solar project in Queensland and has plans for its divestment.

-- Cloudberry ensures acquisition of 100-MW Swedish lake wind project

Nordic renewable energy company Cloudberry Clean Energy has received full acceptance from the shareholders of its acquisition target Scanvind2 AS, which owns a 100-MW lake wind project in Sweden.

-- France's CVE Group to fund expansion with EUR-100m capital injection

French renewable energy producer CVE Group announced a EUR-100-million capital injection from UK asset manager Intermediate Capital Group plc (LON:ICP), which will be used to fund the company's expansion.

-- Hemlock plans vertical integration of polysilicon production with latest purchase

US firm Hemlock Semiconductor, which provides polycrystalline silicon and other silicon-based products to the solar industry, announced the purchase from chemicals company DuPont de Nemours Inc of a business that makes the main raw material it uses.

-- Ib Vogt selling stake in Benban's 1st PV park to Masdar

German solar developer Ib Vogt GmbH said it has arranged the sale of its stake in the 64.1-MWp Infinity 50 photovoltaic (PV) park in Egypt to Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC, better known as Masdar.

-- Galp, ACS formalise JV for 2.9-GW Spanish solar portfolio

Portuguese oil-and-gas major Galp Energia SGPS SA (ELI:GALP) has concluded the formation of a joint venture (JV) with ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (BME:ACS) to develop a 2.9-GW solar portfolio in Spain.

-- Nexamp buying 50-MW community solar bundle in Maine

US solar and storage developer Nexamp Inc said it is in the process of purchasing a 50-MW portfolio of community solar projects in Maine.

-- IGas announces 1st acquisition in geothermal energy sector

UK oil and gas exploration company IGas Energy plc (LON:IGAS) announced its first foray into geothermal energy with the acquisition of local company GT Energy UK Limited.

-- Spain's Q-Energy acquires 120 MW of CSP plants in Spain

Spanish company Q-Energy has acquired a 120-MW concentrated solar power (CSP) portfolio from compatriot SENER and UAE's Masdar, local media reported.

-- EnBW eyes 90 MW of German onshore wind additions in 2020

Germany’s EnBW Energie Baden-Wuerttemberg AG (ETR:EBK) said it will grow its domestic onshore wind portfolio by almost 90 MW this year via acquisitions and own projects.

-- GIG to sell 3.3-GW Japanese offshore wind platform to Iberdrola

The Green Investment Group (GIG) has agreed to sell its Tokyo-based renewable energy platform to Iberdrola SA (BME:IBE) and form a joint venture (JV) with the Spanish utility giant to co-develop 3.3 GW of offshore wind in Japan.

-- Desjardins to buy majority stake in 560-MW wind, solar portfolio in US

Canada’s Desjardins Group Pension Plan (DGPP) will take a majority stake in a portfolio of wind and solar projects in the US with a combined capacity of over 560 MW from EDP Renovaveis SA (ELI:EDPR).

-- Vortex sells controlling stake in 365-MW PV portfolio in UK

European renewables platform Vortex Energy has finalised the sale of its controlling and management stake in the 365-MW Vortex Solar photovoltaic (PV) portfolio in the UK.

-- Major First Solar investor to shed huge chunk of shareholding

Lukas T Walton, a significant shareholder in First Solar Inc (NASDAQ:FSLR), will sell about USD 596.8 million worth of company shares and donate another portion of his shareholding after the offering.

-- EverSource Capital eyes Azure’s 167-MW rooftop solar portfolio - report

Indian green energy infrastructure developer EverSource Capital is interested in buying the whole portfolio of rooftop solar projects of Azure Power Global Ltd (NYSE:AZRE), which has a total capacity of 167 MW, Mint reports, quoting two sources.

-- Brazil okays Omega's 183-MW wind portfolio acquisition

Brazil's Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) has approved the acquisition by Omega Geracao SA (BVMF:OMGE3) of a 50% equity stake in a 182.6-MW wind power bundle in Bahia state.

-- Lithuania's Ignitis buys 170-MW solar portfolio in Poland

Lithuanian renewables-focused utility Ignitis Group has struck a deal to acquire an up to 170-MW portfolio of solar photovoltaic (PV) parks in Poland, it said.

-- Aquila to fund new acquisitions with EUR-150m share issue

Aquila European Renewables Income Fund plc (LON:AERS) plans to launch an EUR-150-million share issue in a bid to grow its clean energy portfolio via new acquisitions.

-- JLEN buys two HPPs, battery storage unit in England

JLEN Environmental Assets Group Ltd (LON:JLEN) said it has acquired the rights to two operational hydropower plants (HPPs) and a battery storage system in England for a total consideration of GBP 4.74 million.

-- PLC sells 50% stake in rooftop solar array in Italy

Italian power plant installer PLC SpA (BIT:PLC) said that one of its units has sold its 50% stake in a firm that owns a 546.5-kW rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system in Caserta province.

-- Iberdrola's Neoenergia to buy 400-MW wind project pipeline in Brazil

Iberdrola SA (BME:IBE), through its unit Neoenergia SA (BVMF:NEOE3), has signed an agreement to acquire a wind project pipeline in Brazil totalling 400 MW of potential capacity from PEC Energia.
