-- Carbontech firm Inventys raises USD 11m from Series C round

Canadian carbon capture company Inventys Thermal Technologies Inc said it has secured USD 11 million as part of the initial tranche of a Series C equity financing led by OGCI Climate Investments LLP.

-- JA Solar's head closes company buyout

JA Solar Holdings Co Ltd (NASDAQ:JASO) is no longer publicly traded after a group led by its chairman and CEO completed the buyout of the company.

-- Eletropar sells Eletropaulo stake for USD 25m

Eletrobras Participacoes SA (BVMF:LIPR3), also known as Eletropar, announced it has finalised the sale of its stake in Brazilian power distributor Eletropaulo (BVMF:ELPL3) for BRL 95.37 million.

-- Malaysia's Jetson, Helios plan solar works JV

Malaysian construction services firm Kumpulan Jetson Bhd (KLSE:JETSON) and Helios Photovoltaic Sdn Bhd will together compete for contracts for the design, construction and completion of solar projects in Sabah through a new joint venture.

-- B.Grimm to buy stake in 420-MW PV project in Vietnam

Thai company B.Grimm Power PCL (SET:BGRIM) said it has agreed to pay THB 1.13 billion for a stake in a 420-MW solar project in Vietnam.

-- Capital Dynamics' CEI takes stakes in 354 MW of California solar

Asset management group Capital Dynamics said it has acquired stakes in 354 MW of solar power assets in California from US energy company Tenaska.

-- Globeleq to snap up 178-MW S African solar, wind portfolio from Brookfield

Independent power producer (IPP) Globeleq announced it has agreed to take a majority interest in a 178-MW renewables portfolio in South Africa from an affiliate of Brookfield Asset Management Inc (TSE:BAM.A).

-- Greenbriar Capital ponders M&A options

Greenbriar Capital Corp (CVE:GRB) said it has hired Ascenta Finance Corp to explore merger and acquisition (M&A) transaction opportunities with public companies involving its four operating segments.

-- WKN hands over 32 MW of French wind farms to John Laing

German project developer WKN AG announced it has handed over to John Laing Group plc (LON:JLG) a couple of wind parks in France totalling 32 MW.

-- GE's LM Wind Power to buy Dutch blade test centre

LM Wind Power, the wind turbine blade manufacturing business of General Electric Co (NYSE:GE), will acquire a Dutch facility where it plans to carry out the rotor hub testing for new GE turbines.

-- Renova says received bids for Alto Sertao III

Renova Energia SA (BVMF:RNEW11) confirmed it has received non-binding proposals from several potential investors for the acquisition of the roughly 400-MW Alto Sertao III wind project in Bahia state, Brazil.

-- China's CGN buys majority of 650-MW Swedish wind project - report

China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN) has bought a 75% stake in the 650-MW North Pole wind project in Sweden, state news agency Xinhua said.

-- Sonnedix acquires 138-MW Chilean PV project

Independent solar power producer Sonnedix Power Holdings Ltd said that it has acquired the 138-MW Meseta de Los Andes solar project in Chile.

-- Innogy agrees fair integration processes with E.on and RWE

Innogy SE (ETR:IGY) has agreed to support the swift implementation of the planned transactions with E.on SE (ETR:EOAN) and RWE AG (ETR:RWE), having secured the fair treatment of its employees.

-- Celanese, Chengzhi plan ethanol partnership in China

Dallas-based specialty materials firm Celanese Corp (NYSE:CE) intends to form an ethanol production technology joint venture (JV) in China with Chengzhi Shareholding (SHE:000990) of Tsinghua University.

-- GIG buys 235-MW wind project in Sweden

Green Investment Group Ltd (GIG) announced it has acquired a roughly 235-MW wind project in Overturingen, Sweden, from forest products company SCA (CPH:SCA-B) and Turinge Energi AB.

-- Dhamma Energy sells 108-MWp solar project in Mexico

Madrid-based solar developer Dhamma Energy said it has sold a 108-MWp shovel-ready solar project in Mexico to local asset manager Prana Power for an undisclosed sum.

-- New Energy Solar to buy 87-MW Aussie project from First Solar

Sustainable investment fund New Energy Solar (ASX:NEW) said it has agreed to buy the 87-MW Beryl solar project in New South Wales from First Solar Inc (NASDAQ:FSLR).

-- China's Silk Road Fund to invest in 700-MW Dubai CSP project

China’s Silk Road Fund has agreed to buy a 24.01% stake in the 700-MW concentrated solar power (CSP) project in Dubai that will be developed jointly with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and ACWA Power.
