-- Opdenergy agrees sale of 1-GW-plus solar portfolio in Spain

Spanish independent power producer (IPP) Opdenergy Holding SA has reached an agreement to sell a 1,044-MW solar portfolio in Spain to Madrid-based renewables investment vehicle Bruc Energy, the parties announced.

-- Octopus invests in floating offshore wind developer with 9-GW pipeline

Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust plc (LON:ORIT), or ORIT, has invested EUR 7.5 million in the parent company of Ireland’s Simply Blue Group, a developer of floating offshore wind projects with an over 9-GW pipeline.

-- IndiGrid open to spending INR 50bn on solar acquisitions - report

Indian power-sector infrastructure trust (InvIT) India Grid Trust (BOM:540565) is willing to acquire operational solar projects worth up to INR 50 billion as part of a strategy to diversify its asset base, business newspaper Financial Express has reported citing a statement from IndiGrid CEO Harsh Shah.

Hanwha Solutions Corporation (KRX:009830) is looking to buy RES Mediterranee SAS at an enterprise value of EUR 700 million, according to a presentation released by the Korean diversified group.

-- Omers Infrastructure buys 19.4% of India's Azure Power

Canadian investor and asset manager Omers Infrastructure has finalised the acquisition of a 19.4% stake in Indian renewable power producer Azure Power Global Ltd (NYSE:AZRE).

-- Bill Gates, Reliance join USD-144m funding of battery storage co Ambri

US energy storage systems developer Ambri Inc said it has secured USD 144 million in financing to commercialise its long-duration battery technology and build production facilities.

-- Tallgrass takes control of New Mexico clean hydrogen conversion project

US oil and natural gas pipeline operator Tallgrass Energy LP said it has acquired a 75% membership interest in hydrogen-to-power project developer Escalante H2 Power (EH2 Power).

-- Vestas Ventures invests in Swedish lift crane technology developer

The venture capital arm of Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) has made an investment in a subsidiary of Swedish firm Stena AB, which has developed a new top crane technology.

-- Nanotech Energy raises USD 64m to expand intl graphene ops

US graphene-based batteries maker Nanotech Energy said it has raised USD 64 million in a Series D funding round led by Taiwanese financial services company Fubon Financial Holding Co Ltd (TPE:2881).

-- J-Power, SymEnergy to co-invest in another 21-MW wind project

Japanese electric utility Electric Power Development Co Ltd (TYO:9513), known as J-Power, said it will accept the entry of compatriot SymEnergy Inc in a 21-MW wind project.

-- Eletrobras initiates sale of 79-MW wind portfolio in Brazil

Brazilian power producer and distributor CGT Eletrosul, a subsidiary of utility Eletrobras (BVMF:ELET3), has approved the start of the sale process for its 78% interest in a 79.2-MW wind portfolio.

-- EQTEC acquires waste-to-energy gasification plant in Croatia

Irish gasification technology and engineering company EQTEC [LSE:EQT] said it has completed the acquisition of a 1.2 MWe waste-to-energy gasification plant in Belisce, eastern Croatia.

-- Gazelle Wind Power bags USD 4m for floating platform development

Ireland-based Gazelle Wind Power Limited said it has secured USD 4 million to develop its hybrid floating offshore wind platform.

-- ReNew Power to spend USD 384m on solar, hydro purchases in India

India’s ReNew Power Pvt Ltd announced deals to acquire solar and hydropower assets at a combined enterprise value of about INR 28.5 billion.

-- Bitcoin miner CleanSpark adds 20 MW of power to portfolio

Nevada-based CleanSpark Inc (NASDAQ:CLSK), a clean Bitcoin mining and diversified software and services company, said it has acquired a data centre in Georgia that adds 20 MW of power to its existing mining business.

-- Aker Offshore, Mainstream near 800-MW floating wind project off Japan

A tie-up of Norway’s Aker Offshore Wind AS and Irish clean energy company Mainstream Renewable Power has been picked as the preferred bidder to buy an initial 50% stake in an 800-MW floating offshore wind project in Japanese waters.

Johannesburg-based bank Absa Group Ltd (JSE:ABG) has joined forces with clean energy solutions provider African Rainbow Energy and Power (AREP) to create a new African-led renewables investment platform with some ZAR 6.5 billion of gross assets.

Canadian power producer Northland Power Inc (TSE:NPI) said it had finalised the acquisition of 551 MW of operational renewable energy assets in Spain.

-- Energy storage technology firm Ads-Tec to go public in US via SPAC deal

German energy storage technology company Ads-Tec Energy GmbH has agreed to combine with blank check firm European Sustainable Growth Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ:EUSG) and go public in the US in a push to secure financing for the expansion of its technology.

Australian battery materials developer Sicona Battery Technologies Pty Ltd has completed a pre-Series A funding round, raising AUD 3.7 million, it said.

-- Endesa buys 350 MW of Spanish renewables from ABO Wind

Spanish electric utility Endesa SA (BME:ELE) announced that it has acquired a 350-MW portfolio of wind and solar PV projects at home from ABO Wind Espana SAU, a company within German renewables group ABO Wind AG (ETR:AB9).

Greenbacker Renewable Energy Company LLC announced it has acquired two utility-scale solar projects totalling 40 MW in alternating current (AC) in the US state of New York.

-- Greenvolt greenlit to acquire 70% stake in solar engineering co Profit Energy

Portugal's Competition Authority (AdC) has approved a move by Portuguese renewables company Greenvolt - Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT) to acquire a 70% stake in domestic solar and energy efficiency project developer Profit Energy.

South African renewables yieldco Revego Africa Energy Ltd has acquired stakes in three wind farms in the Northern Cape province with a combined capacity of 360 MW.

-- GIG teams up with Vargronn, Agder Energi for offshore wind in Norway

Green Investment Group Ltd (GIG), part of Australia’s Macquarie Group Ltd (ASX:MQG), has teamed up with Vargronn and Agder Energi to bid for an area in Norway’s Sorlige Nordsjo II zone that is expected to host up to 3 GW of offshore wind.
