Verano Energy breaks ground on 59 MW of solar projects in Chile

Latin America-focused renewables developer Verano Energy announced today it has commenced the construction works on solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in Chile with a combined capacity of 59 MWac/76 MWdc.

All eight solar schemes are part of the Chilean PMG/PMGD programmes, under which the country offers a stabilised price regime as well as automatic access to the grid.

Verano noted it was selected to provide the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and operations and maintenance (O&M) services to the solar portfolio by Fontus Renewables, a subsidiary of EnfraGen LLC. The parent firm is a developer, owner and operator of grid stability and renewable energy infrastructure businesses across Latin America.
