UPDATE - METKA EGN gets EPC job on 171-MW solar project in Chile

August 13 (Renewables Now) - METKA EGN is the company taking care of the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of the 171-MWp Atacama Solar II plant in Chile’s Tarapaca Region.

The UK-based firm is building the solar farm for independent solar power producer Sonnedix Power Holdings Ltd in the municipality of Pica and will be providing maintenance for two years upon completion in December 2020.

Sonnedix announced the start of construction work on the USD-180-million (EUR 161m) project last week.

METKA EGN has already completed two other projects for Sonnedix -- the 57-MW Oriana photovoltaic (PV) park in Isabela, Puerto Rico and the 5-MW Lavansol M8 solar farm in Saint Etienne Des Sorts, France.
