to-the-point: Saudi solar park of 10 MW becomes operational

January 4 (Renewables Now) - The energy subsidiary of The Saudi Company for Development and Technology Investment (TAQNIA) has completed a 10-MW solar power plant in Al-Aflaj, Saudi Arabia.

The installation is the first phase of the so-called Layla Solar Power Plant. It is connected to the grid and is capable of covering 10% of the electricity consumption in the province.

The project is co-developed by Taqnia Energy, King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, and the Saudi Electricity Company.
