December 16 (Renewables Now) - China’s Chint Solar/Astroenergy has secured a contract to supply 122 MW of bi-facial photovoltaic (PV) modules for a solar project that Atlas Renewable Energy is planning to build in Chile.

Exact details on the project have been kept under wraps.

The Chinese solar panel maker said Friday its bi-facial modules can generate over 400 Wp per panel, allowing Atlas to lift the project’s capacity and boost efficiency.

The panels are due to arrive in Chile by 2020, according to a brief statement.
