to-the-point: Brazil's RS Solar to invest nearly USD 1m in PV module factory

Brazilian company RS Solar plans to invest BRL 3 million (USD 929,303/EUR 839,067) in a new photovoltaic (PV) module factory, Rio Grande do Sul state announced on Wednesday.

Located in the Veranopolis city, the plant will cover an area of 1,300 sq mt (13,993 sq ft). It will focus on the manufacture and supply of PV modules as well as generation and distribution systems using Italian technology.

The execution of civil works, the acquisition of machinery and equipment, along with imports of silicon wafers, are already included in the initial investment, the government noted.
