Suniva completes installation of 500 kw PV system in Mexico

Jul 25, 2013 - US crystalline silicon solar cell and module maker Suniva Inc has completed the installation of a 500 kW rooftop photovoltaic (PV) system in Queretaro, Mexico.

The system is equipped with 1,632 Suniva OPT300 high-powered modules and was designed, installed and commissioned on-site in partnership with US turnkey solar systems developer Radiance Solar LLC and Mexican firm Grupo Metal Intra (GMI), Suniva said in a statement today.

The facility, which was put on stream on July 19, will feed a substantial amount of the operations of the production facility of GMI, Suniva said.

A USD-780,000 (EUR 591,500) financing for the project was granted by the The Export-Import (Ex-Im) Bank of the United States and its affiliate UPS Capital.
