Spain's OHL to build 89-MW La Huella PV park in Chile

September 12 (Renewables Now) - Spanish construction company Obrascon Huarte Lain SA (BME:OHL), better known as OHL, has been hired to build the 89-MW La Huella solar photovoltaic (PV) park in Chile.

The job, valued at EUR 70 million (USD 77.2m), was awarded by Austria-based PV investor Clean Capital Energy GmbH. The scope of the contract includes engineering, construction, electrical work related to the solar park’s interconnection and commissioning. After La Huella is brought online, OHL will provide operation and maintenance (O&M) services on a long-term basis.

The La Huella solar park will serve Chile’s Coquimbo region.

Over the past eight years, OHL has been engaged as a renewable energy engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor on projects adding up to more than 650 MW of total installed capacity, according to the company.
