JPMorgan to supply UK ops with 100% renewable power from EDF
November 11 - US investment bank JPMorgan Chase & Co (NYSE:JPM) will procure 100% renewable electricity for its UK offices under a deal with EDF Energy.
Baker Hughes, Shell partner on decarbonisation options
November 11 - Energy technology company Baker Hughes (BKR:NYSE) and Royal Dutch Shell Plc (AMS:RDSA) have signed a MoU to help each other reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, starting with Shell supplying renewable energy to some Baker Hughes sites.
Neoenergia signs wind PPA with Brazilian co Ambar
November 10 - Brazilian energy firm Neoenergia SA (BVMF:NEOE3) has signed a 10-year energy trading contract with local company Ambar Energia for wind power from two parks under construction.
ADM signs wind PPA with Casa dos Ventos
November 9 - US-based agricultural processor Archer Daniels Midland Co (NYSE:ADM) has signed an off-take contract with Casa dos Ventos Energias Renovaveis to buy a portion of the power generated by the 360-MW Babilonia Sul wind park in Brazil.
Scatec to build 532-MW solar plant in Brazil
November 9 - Scatec ASA (OSL:SCATC) will install a 532-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Rio Grande do Norte state to generate more than 60% of the power needed to feed the steel industry in the neighbouring Maranhao state.
The Giant Company, Constellation ink deal to back 80 MW of new solar
November 5 - US supermarket chain The Giant Company has signed a long-term agreement with power and gas retailer Constellation to support solar energy development and secure clean electricity for its operations in the state of Pennsylvania, it was announced on Thursday.
Axpo agrees 60 MW wind, solar balancing deal with SNCF in France
November 4 - Swiss renewable power producer and energy trader Axpo Holding AG has agreed to provide a subsidiary of SNCF with balancing services for 60 MW of solar and wind power until the end of 2023 as the French state-owned national railways group is seeking to raise the share of green electricity.
Hitachi Rail to go all-renewable in UK under deal with ScottishPower
November 4 - The rail subsidiary of Japan’s Hitachi Ltd (TYO:6501) has clinched a deal to procure 100% renewable electricity for all of its train manufacturing and maintenance facilities in the UK.
Seven-Eleven Japan signs solar PPA with Hokuriku Electric
November 2 - Convenience stores chain Seven-Eleven Japan Co Ltd has signed an off-take contract with local utility Hokuriku Electric Power Co Inc (TYO:9505) to buy the electricity generated by a yet-to-be-built, 6.22-MW solar farm in Japan.
APA takes FID, secures off-taker for 44-MW solar project in Queensland
November 2 - Australian energy infrastructure company APA Group (ASX:APA) has taken a final investment decision (FID) on the first stage of an 88-MW solar project in Queensland. A 15-year PPA has been signed with local zinc miner MMG Dugald River.
Japan’s Tadano unveils 1.2-MW solar system under PPA with Orix
