Several power purchase agreements (PPAs) announced in the last two weeks will bring green electricity to companies in the petrochemicals, mining, retail and telecom industries. -- Total's Lampiris unveils PPA for Belgium’s 309-MW Rentel offshore wind farm
Belgium power and gas supplier Lampiris will be buying the electricity produced by the 309-MW Rentel offshore complex in the Belgian North Sea. Canadian Solar Inc (NASDAQ:CSIQ) has signed two corporate PPAs covering 274 MWp of new solar capacity in Brazil. First Solar Inc (NASDAQ:FSLR) has inked a 15-year PPA for 75% of a 200-MW solar project in Texas with chemical company Dow Inc (NYSE:DOW). The latter will power its Gulf Coast operations, the biggest petrochemical site in the western hemisphere, with electricity generated by First Solar's Horizon Solar project in Frio. Read more..

8minute Solar Energy has won a bid to sell the electricity from a 200-MW solar project in California’s Kern County that will be coupled with 150 MWh of battery storage.
