Petra Solar acquires Jordanian EnergyFlow Consulting

Oct 21, 2011 - US solar power systems maker Petra Solar Inc said Thursday it had acquired Jordan-based EnergyFlow Consulting LLC, which provides services to energy producers and consumers.

Petra Solar, a developer of a smart grid interactive solar system under the SunWave brand, said the acquisition was in line with its business expansion.

As part of the transaction, Petra has appointed EnergyFlow's former chief executive Hisham Othman as vice president of professional services and regional manager for Middle East and Africa. Prior to Petra and EnergyFlow, Othman worked at ABB International Marketing, part of ABB Ltd (VTX:ABBN), and GE Power Systems, a unit of GE (NYSE:GE).
