Mexico's Queretaro state says Spanish investors planning USD 70m solar plant
(ADPnews) - Nov 16, 2010 - Spanish investors want to build a USD 70 million (EUR 51.4m) solar energy plant in Mexico's central Queretaro state, Queretaro's sustainable development secretary, Tonatiuh Salinas, said.
The plant will sell electricity exclusively to the local industry, which is seen by the investors as an attractive market.
This is the first of two solar projects, envisaged by Queretaro's government. The second project will adapt to solar energy the electricity system used at the local international airport.
