Mexico’s Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources (Semarnat) has received in October applications for environmental approval for 598 MW of wind and solar projects.
All projects have filed their Environmental Impact Statements (MIA) with Semarnat's Environmental Impact Assessment Procedure (PEIA), as stated in the country's Ecological Gazette. According to the agency’s weekly bulletin, the combined capacity comes from two large-scale photovoltaic (PV) projects and one wind scheme.
