Mexican Vive Energia to build 70 MW wind farm in Yucatan
Jul 8, 2013 - Mexican firm Vive Energia will build a wind farm of nearly 70 MW in Yucatan state as of the last quarter of 2013, the firm's manager Benigno Villarreal and state officials said on Friday.
The wind farm will require investments of MXN 2.5 billion (USD 190.9m/EUR 148.9m), including construction, operation and maintenance. Its capacity is equivalent to 10% of the state's current power demand.
The project will be developed in Dzilam de Bravo, Dzilam Gonzalez and Temax municipalities. Construction is expected to take 10 to 14 months.
