Weekly renewables M&A round-up (Jun 27-Jul 1)
Jul 01, 2022 17:05 CESTMarch 16 (SeeNews) - Chinese solar products maker JA Solar Holdings (NASDAQ:JASO) said on Monday it has won a contract to deliver 35.1 MW of photovoltaic (PV) modules for the second phase of a project in Guatemala.
Last year, JA Solar shipped 59.7 MW of PV panels for the first phase of the project. The whole plant would be the largest solar park in Central America and the second biggest one in the Latin American region once completed, the company noted.
“Enough panels to cover an area the size of 300 football fields not only provides clean power to the people of Central America, but also opens a window for us in the local market,” said Jian Xie, the president of the Chinese firm.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
