German Solon sets up JV with Israeli Elco Holdings
(SeeNews) – Nov 6, 2012 – German solar module maker Solon Energy GmbH said on Monday it had established a joint venture (JV) with Israeli energy and technology company Elco Holdings for the planning and building of solar power plants.
The new joint venture, which is called Solon Elco Renewables Ltd, is located in Netanya, near Tel-Aviv.
The newly-set up joint company is already completing two projects with a combined capacity of 8.5 MW in Kibbuzim Kramim and Idan in Israel and is also bidding for further 200 MW projects.
Elco, a subsidiary of real-estate company Electra Israel Ltd (PINK:ETRZF), specialises in the integration of energy sources directly into the high voltage grid.
