French Heliotrop ties up with Mexico for solar power R&D project
Jul 4, 2013 - French Heliotrop, which specialises in high concentration photovoltaic (HCPV) systems, announced today the signature of a deal with the Sonora state, in Mexico, setting the foundation for the bi-national research and development (R&D) project Proyecto 1024 SOLES.
The project is aimed at the production of electricity at competitive conditions.
The Sonora state is one of the most sunny areas of the world and is particularly suited for Heliotrop's technology HCPV 1024 soleils.
Heliotrop is already present in Mexico with a 30-KW pilot plant, co-financed by Mexico's state-owned utility CFE.
Apart from Mexico, Heliotrop plans to pursue its expansion also in North America, North Africa and the Middle East.
