Flabeg completes mirror delivery for 160-MW CSP plant in Morocco
Nov 18, 2014 - German firm Flabeg FE GmbH said it has concluded its delivery of mirrors for the 160-MW Noor I concentrated solar power (CSP) project in Morocco’s Ouarzazate area.
The company has supplied more than 530,000 annealed RP3 mirrors for the parabolic trough project. Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power International owns both Flabeg and the CSP scheme, which is part of a 500-MW solar complex. Noor I is expected to become operational in 2015.
Just last week, Reuters reported, citing sources, that a group led by ACWA Power had made the lowest bid in a tender for the 200-MW Noor II CSP project. The consortium has offered to sell the plant’s output at USD 0.1601 (EUR 0.128) per kWh.
