UAE-based fertiliser and ammonia producer Fertiglobe (ADX:FERTIGLB) said today it has entered into a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) with AD Ports Group (ADX:ADPORTS) to support its urea and ammonia storage and shipping capabilities in Egypt, the UAE and other markets.

Fertiglobe's chief executive Ahmed El-Hoshy said that via the MoU the company seeks to enhance its ability to store and ship urea and ammonia from Egypt and optimise its logistics’ cost structure.
“This MoU will enable us to expand our partnership beyond Egypt and the UAE, as well as to the shipping and storage of green ammonia, in line with our commitment to deliver more sustainable products to the world,” the CEO added.
AD Ports Group managing director and group chief executive Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi commented that the partnership aligns with AD Ports Group’s commitment to driving broader global collaboration and supply chain development for alternative fuels.
