Chilean renewable energy developer Consorcio Austral has proposed to build a green ammonia production facility in southernmost Chile, targeting capacity of 4,100 metric tonnes per day strictly for export markets.

Clean Power Hydrogen PLC (LON:CPH2), a UK developer of membrane-free electrolyser (MFE) technology, has raised around GBP 7.3 million (USD 9.8m/EUR 8.6m) in gross proceeds from a share sale to advance its shift toward a capital-light business model after the failure of its first commercial-scale electrolyser forced it to scrap its manufacturing plans.

Energy infrastructure provider Friedrich Vorwerk Group SE (ETR:VH2) has received a contract to build a hydrogen pipeline which will connect a planned 320-MW electrlyser in the city of Emden, Germany, to emerging hydrogen infrastructure in Leer, Germany.

Norwegian hydrogen technology developer Nel ASA (OSE:NEL) reported a wider second-quarter operating loss on Wednesday, as a lawsuit settlement with Japanese industrial gases firm Iwatani weighed on earnings, although the company posted a sharp rise in order intake driven by demand for its proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysers.

Belgian engineering group John Cockerill said today that it has completed the first 5-MW electrolyser stack manufactured and assembled at its Belfort plant in France, one year after acquiring key assets of French electrolyser maker McPhy.

Shadid Capital, Shamel Petroleum Company and strategic partners have signed a joint venture agreement to develop the Oman Blue Infrastructure Platform (OBIP), an integrated floating platform combining renewable energy, water desalination and green hydrogen.
