Enertronica to supply 190 MW of PV inverters in Colombia

Enertronica Santerno SpA, a unit of Italian renewable energy group Enertronica SpA (BIT:ENT), has received a supply contract for 190 MW of photovoltaic (PV) inverters in Colombia.

The order, worth about USD 9 million (EUR 7.6m), has been placed by an unnamed client, only classified as "the main world operator in the sector."

Enertronica said that the PV inverters will be designed, delivered and installed at Colombia's largest solar project. It expects that deliveries of the equipment will take place during 2021, thus the economic effects of this deal for 2020 will not be "particularly significant," ERG said.

With this contract, the Italian firm has added Colombia to its Latin American portfolio, which includes Brazil, Chile and Panama. With the latest order, Enertronica has surpassed the mark of 1.4 GW of PV inverters delivered in the region.
