December 6 (Renewables Now) - Italian renewables firm Enertronica SpA (BIT:ENT) is creating a commercial joint venture with Power Construction Corporation of China, or PowerChina, to take part in a tender for the turnkey construction of a 200-MW solar park in Latin America.

Enertronica announced the news today, but did not give details about the said international tender. It noted though that a contract for an indicative amount exceeding USD 120 million (EUR 105.9m) is expected to be awarded in 2019.

Under the terms of the JV deal, Enertronica will be in charge of the roughly 30% of the work and equipment, including engineering work, project management and the supply of inverters. PowerChina will provide the remaining components for the plant, including photovoltaic (PV) modules and the Chinese group will also be responsible for the entire financial structure of the operation, according to the announcement.
