Enel Green Power to study 40-MW solar project in Peru

(SeeNews) - Feb 10, 2014 - Peru's energy and mines ministry has allowed Italy's Enel Green Power (BIT:EGPW) to conduct feasibility studies for a solar plant with an estimated capacity of 40 MW in the southern Moquegua region.

The project, named Pampa Las Pulgas, is located in the El Algarrobal district in the Ilo province.

The company has two years to conduct the studies.

At the end of January, Enel Green Power Peru obtained permits to study four solar and wind projects ranging from 40 MW to 100 MW, in the Tacna, Ica and Arequipa regions.
