May 16 (Renewables Now) - Spain-based energy assets developer OPDEnergy has selected Eiffage Energia to build two solar photovoltaic (PV) projects of 156.5 MWp in total, winners of energy auctions in Mexico and Spain.
The Spanish arm of French construction group Eiffage SA (EPA:FGR) said Wednesday that the contract would cover the construction of a 106.5-MWp PV farm in the city of Torreon, Mexico and a 50-MWp scheme in Merida, Spain, and their substations.
The value of the contract has not been disclosed.
The parks will use high-efficiency mono-PERC modules of 370 Wp, central inverters between 5 MW and 7 MW and single-axis trackers. The solar farms’ output will flow to the grid for general use.
Eiffage Energia has built for OPDEnergy more than 230 MW of solar capacity.
