Chile's renewables share down as output increases in March

Chile’s renewables produced 1,657 GWh of power in March, an increase of 9.0% month-on-month and of 27.3% on the year, Chilean energy commission CNE said in the latest monthly report.
The share of renewables in the total production reached 23.8%, coming down from 24.6% in February.

Production from all power plants combined rose by 3.1% on the year to 6,975 GWh.
The total installed renewable energy capacity across Chile’s three grid systems climbed to 6,902 MW in March from 6,818 MW a month earlier. Renewables account for 27.1% of the country’s total installed capacity, which fell to 25,494 MW in March from 26,365 MW in February.
