Chilean Inca de Varas I files request for 50-MW solar plant
Jul 31, 2013 - Chilean renewables energy developer Inca de Varas I yesterday filed an environmental request for the construction of a 50-MW PV solar power plant.
The plant, dubbed Inca de Varas I, will supply its future output to the country's central power grid SIC.
According to the environmental declaration submitted to the country's environmental regulator SEA, apart from the plant, the USD-100-million (EUR 75.4m) project includes also a power substation and a high-tension transmission line. They will be connected to the Carrera Pinto substation of Chilean power grid operator Transelec.
The regulator will analyse the declaration by October 28, 2013.
