CADE okays Enel's purchase of 378 MW of green projects in Brazil

August 19 (Renewables Now) - Brazil's Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) has approved without restrictions the acquisition by the local unit of Italian utility Enel SpA (BIT:ENEL) of 378 MW of wind and solar projects held by Grupo Mario Araripe.

More specifically, Enel is acquiring the firms Ventos de Santo Orestes Energias Renovaveis SA, Ventos de Sao Roque Energias Renovaveis SA and Fotons de Santo Anchieta Energias Renovaveis SA, all classified as non-operational and holding power generation projects.
