Brazil okays 285 MW of solar projects from Aug 28 auction

Brazil's power sector regulator Aneel approved on Tuesday 10 winning projects, totalling 285.1 MW of solar capacity, from the August 28 reserve energy auction.
The projects, divided in five consortia, received the go-ahead after the developers met requirements established by the power watchdog. Power supply is scheduled to commence on August 1, 2017 for 20 years.

In total, 833.8 MW of solar power were negotiated at the August 28 reserve energy auction, at an average price of BRL 301.79 per MWh (USD 79.77/EUR 73.03). So far, Aneel has approved 26 of the 30 solar projects.
