Brazil clears 169 MW of green plants to start operations

Brazilian power sector regulator Aneel approved eight renewable power plants with a combined capacity of 168.7 MW to start commercial or test operations.

The Ventos de Santo Edwiges wind plant and the Bom Jesus photovoltaic (PV) facilities received the go-ahead to commence commercial operation. The remaining five will go online under test operations.

After the test period, if the plants present positive results, they will be allowed to start commercial operations according to Aneel's resolutions.
