Brazil allows 83 MW of green projects to enter special scheme

Brazil's Ministry of Mines and Energy allowed four renewable energy projects with 82.8 MW of combined capacity to enter the national Incentive Regime for Infrastructure Development (REIDI).

The total cost of the green parks is estimated at more than BRL 611.38 million (USD 191.59m/EUR 175.58m). More details on the projects in the table below.

The Boa Hora photovoltaic (PV) plants are schedule to commence operations by November 1, 2018, while the Oiapoque plant already broke ground and is expected to be up and running on December 31, 2017. The small HPP is expected to be up and running by June 30, 2019.

REIDI, launched in 2007, grants tax incentives to companies investing in infrastructure projects within the transport, energy, sanitation and irrigation sectors.
