Argentine firm seeks better tariff for 20-MW solar park - report
Jun 2, 2014 - Argentine 360 Energy SA is in talks with the government to improve the power tariff and resume the construction of its 20-MW Canada Honda photovoltaic park, sources from the firm told regional daily Diario de Cuyo, as reported on Monday.
Until March 2013, the firm installed 7 MW. The project is developed in Sarmiento department of San Juan province as part of the government's Genren programme, created to stimulate investments in renewable energy.
The firm estimates it will need 12 months to install the remaining 13 MW once the negotiations with Argentine wholesale power market administrator Cammesa are unblocked.
The first 5 MW came on stream in April 2012 after an investment of USD 26 million (EUR 19.1m), while the whole project was estimated at USD 96.9 million.
