Weekly renewables M&A round-up (Jun 27-Jul 1)
Jul 01, 2022 17:05 CESTNovember 3 (Renewables Now) - Argentine power utility Energia Provincial Sociedad del Estado (EPSE), owned by the San Juan provincial government, will be in charge of the development of a 50-MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) park that in Neuquen province.
EPSE announced on Monday it had signed an agreement with Cooperativa Provincial de Servicios Públicos y Comunitarios Ltda (CALF), one of the largest and most important electric cooperatives in the country.
Covering an area of approximately 100 hectares (247.1 acres) on a plateau owned by the municipality of Neuquen, the PV park should be able to produce enough clean electricity to meet the demand of some 40,000 homes.
According to EPSE, its involvement in the project will last around five months and will cover four stages. It will be responsible for undertaking preliminary studies and analysis, as well as economic evaluation, and continue through to the provision of assistance regarding the bidding process for the construction and commissioning of the solar plant.
