November 26 (Renewables Now) - The Argentine province of Santa Fe launched last week the public consultation in connection with the bidding documents for a 50-MW wind and solar power tender.

The tender is aimed at small photovoltaic (PV) and wind parks, up to 5 MW and 10 MW, respectively. The winning projects will have a 20-year contract period.

In addition to boosting the use of renewable energy and reducing electricity production costs, the government of Santa Fe also seeks to improve the quality of electric service for the province through this tender, it said in a statement.

The final versions of the tender documents will be presented in January 2019. The full schedule can be viewed here: https://www.santafe.gob.ar/ms/generfe

The government also launched the Generfe programme, which establishes where and how electricity will be generated, and also specifies the exact amount of output.
