Argentina has signed eight contracts with winners of the RenovAr 2 renewable energy auction for a combined capacity of a little over 141 MW.
The contracts, concerning one wind, one solar, three biomass and three biogas projects, were signed with the Argentine government, the Undersecretariat for Renewable Energy at the Ministry of Energy and Mines announced on Thursday.

Of the total 88 winning projects, 42 have now signed contracts. In its three tenders, Argentina awarded 147 green energy projects to be installed in 21 provinces with 4,466.5 MW of combined capacity, the Undersecretariat noted.
