Aneel receives autorisation requests for two PV solar plants
Nov 23, 2011 - Brazilian power sector watchdog Aneel received authorisation requests for the construction of two photovoltaic (PV) solar plants in the northeastern states of Ceara and Rio Grande do Norte.
The two PV solar plants are Oros I and Acaua I, and each will have an installed capacity of 30 MW.
The Oros I solar plant will be built in Ceara's municipality of Ico and when approved it will operate as an independent power producer. In turn, the Acaua I plant will be located in Rio Grande do Norte's municipality Currais Novos and it will also act as independent energy producer, according to Aneel.
