Aneel okays 87 MW of solar projects from Aug 28 auction

Brazil's power sector regulator Aneel approved on Tuesday three winning projects, totalling 89.6 MW of solar capacity, from the August 28 reserve energy auction.
The projects, divided in two consortia, received the approval after the developers met Aneel's requirements and were also licensed by the power watchdog. Power supply is scheduled to commence on August 1, 2017 for 20 years.

In total, 833.8 MW of solar power were negotiated at the August 28 reserve energy auction, at an average price of BRL 301.79 per MWh (USD 76.97/EUR 70.40). So far, Aneel has approved 29 of the 30 solar projects.
