American Electric to supply 1-MW inverter for solar project in Mexico
Jul 17, 2012 - US power delivery solutions provider American Electric Technologies (NASDAQ:AETI), or AETI, today said it would supply a 1-MW Integrated Solar Inversion Station (ISIS) for a solar power project in Mexico.
The project's developer Socios Energeticos de Mexico Verde (SEMV) has selected the solar inversion system, which is scheduled to be delivered and installed in the third quarter.
ISIS is a high-performance inverter with features such as liquid cooling and operation without derating in hot weather that make it suitable for Mexico's hard desert climate, according to AETI. SEMV can also cut field installation costs by integrating the 1-MW ISIS with a 1 MVA transformer and medium voltage switchgear, AETI added.
