Yingli Green to supply 1 MW of PV modules for Singapore park

Oct 24, 2012 - Chinese photovoltaic (PV) module maker Yingli Green Energy Holding Co Ltd (NYSE:YGE) today said it had agreed to deliver 1 MW of modules to Singaporean PV system integrator SolarGy Pte for a solar project.

SolarGy is the engineering, procurement and constructing (EPC) contractor for the project, located at the Ulu Pandan Newater plant of Keppel Seghers Newater Development Co Pte Ltd and owned by K-Green Trust, a business trust focused on investments in green assets in Singapore. Keppel Seghers will operate the solar plant.

The PV plant will include some 4,000 modules to be installed on an area of 10,000 sq m (107,600 sq ft). When finished in February 2013, the facility is estimated to produce some 1.2 million kWh of power a year, enough to supply 250 local residential apartments, Yingli said.

Keppel Seghers is the environmental technology division of Singaporean rig builder Keppel Corp Ltd (SIN:BN4).
