Yingli, AMB Energia to develop 30 MW of solar projects in Poland
Jul 31, 2014 - Chinese photovoltaics (PV) maker Yingli Green Energy Holding Co Ltd (NYSE:YGE) today unveiled a strategic alliance with Polish energy company AMB Energia SA focused on 30 MW of solar projects in Poland.
AMB Energia will fully develop the projects with support from Yingli Green Energy International AG. After that they will seek buyers for the turnkey projects. The partners want to have a diversified portfolio for local auctions in 2015.
Yingli said the agreement is part of its strategy to identify strong local partners in key regions and transform from a module supplier into provider of integrated solutions.
The company covers the chain from ingot casting and wafering through solar cell production and module assembly, with module sales of over 9 GW worldwide until now. Yingli Green shipped 3.25 GW of PV modules in 2013 and ranked as the number-one supplier in the world.
