Winrg Iberia, part of German developer Winrg GmbH, has announced the successful connection to the grid of three solar parks in Portugal with a combined capacity of 74 MWp.
These are the 9.7-MWp Cartaxo solar park, the 46.4-MWp Ferreira do Alentejo solar farm and the 17.5-MWp Amareleja solar park. The projects were developed by Winrg for German investment company Wirtgen Invest as part of a six-project portfolio of 205 MWp.
Out of the remaining projects, the 23-MWp Santarem solar park and the 49-MWp Moura solar farm are already complete and awaiting grid connection. Construction of the 59-MWp Lagos solar farm is still underway. The three projects are expected to be hooked to the grid by the start of 2021.
In September, Spain's renewable power retailer Holaluz Clidom SA (BME:HLZ) announced a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Wirtgen for four projects with a combined capacity of 97 MWp -- Amareleja, Ferreira do Alentejo, Santarem and Cartaxo.
