-- InfraCo Africa inks 60-MW solar PPA in Chad

InfraCo Africa has entered into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the government of Chad for the output of a 60-MWp solar power plant.

-- India's SECI invites bids for 250 MW of solar in Maharashtra

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) issued a Request for Selection (RfS) for 250 MW of grid-connected solar projects in the western state of Maharashtra.

-- Sydney Airport to source power from 135-MW wind park

Sydney Airport will cover up to 75% of its electricity needs with wind power. The airport operator has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Origin Energy and Grassroots Renewable Energy to buy power from the 135-MW Crudine Ridge wind farm in New South Wales.

-- Hydro-Quebec signs initial PPA for 200-MW wind project

Utility Hydro-Quebec agreed terms of a PPA for the output of the 200-MW Apuiat wind power project in Quebec's Cote-Nord region.

-- Caithness Energy eyes PPA for 320 MW of wind, storage in Montana

Caithness Beaver Creek, a unit of power producer Caithness Energy, is seeking regulatory assistance to secure PPAs for 320 MW of wind and 160 MW/640 MWh of related energy storage capacity in Montana.
