Chinese digital energy technology firm Envision and French energy major Total SA (EPA:FP) have joined hands to offer distributed generation (DG) solar solutions to the industrial and commercial (C&I) sector in China.

Reatile Renewables, the renewable energy arm of South African investment holding company Reatile Group, has acquired a 43% stake in the solar operations and maintenance (O&M) unit of Germany’s Juwi.

IKEA stores operator Ingka Group has agreed to buy a 49% stake in two US solar projects with a combined capacity of 403 MW from Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP).

The European Commission (EC) gave the green light to the final part of the planned EUR-40-billion-plus (USD 44bn) asset swap between German energy groups RWE AG (ETR:RWE) and E.on SE (ETR:EOAN).

Power producer and distributor AES Gener SA, together with its subsidiary Norgener Renovables SpA, have inked a deal to acquire a 110-MW Chilean wind farm from EPM Chile SA.

South African coal producer Exxaro Resources Ltd (JSE:EXX) has sealed a deal to take full control of 50%-owned Cennergi (Pty) Ltd, which holds two wind farms totalling 229 MW.
