Three companies part of Australia’s Lyon Group, a solar and energy storage project developer, have been put in liquidation and a sale process for their solar-plus-storage projects has been started.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (BME:SGRE) has agreed to buy 8.9 GW of onshore wind service assets in Europe, a plant in Portugal and intellectual property from struggling wind turbine maker Senvion SE (ETR:SEN) in a EUR-200-million deal.

Spanish group Acciona SA (BME:ANA) has signed an agreement with Omaha, Nebraska-based energy company Tenaska to acquire 3,000 MW of utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects and a 1-GW battery storage development portfolio across the US.

Gresham House Energy Storage Fund Plc (LON:GRID) has signed a conditional agreement to buy a 49-MW battery storage project in the UK for an undisclosed sum.

Brazilian energy company Echoenergia, holder of a 973-MW wind power portfolio, has been marked for sale by private equity firm Actis, local newspaper Valor Economico reported.

-- Poland's PGE talks offshore wind with Ørsted

Polish power group PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WSE:PGE) will be discussing the joint development of 2.5 GW of offshore wind projects in the Baltic Sea with Ørsted A/S (CPH:ORSTED).

The Danish offshore wind major said it will negotiate the purchase from PGE of 50% stakes in each of two special purpose vehicles (SPVs).

The Renewables Infrastructure Group Ltd (LON:TRIG) has acquired the 25-MW Little Raith wind farm in Scotland after purchasing the entire stake in the operating plant from local developer Kennedy Renewables.

Encavis Asset Management AG, also known as Encavis AM, said that a “well-known” insurer had mandated the company as the investment advisor for a special fund that will pursue solar and wind assets with a target volume in the three-digit million Euro range.
