The US unit of German biofuels producer Verbio Vereinigte BioEnergie AG has agreed to acquire the cellulosic ethanol plant in Iowa of DuPont Industrial Biosciences, the parties announced.

EDP Renovaveis SA (ELI:EDPR) announced that its UK-based unit has formally sold a 13.4% stake in the 950-MW Moray Offshore Windfarm East Ltd (MOWEL) offshore wind project.

Danish utility Hofor said it has acquired back from Ørsted A/S (CPH:ORSTED) its 50% stake in the 40-MW Middelgrunden offshore wind farm near Copenhagen and unveiled plans to repower the facility after it reaches the end of its life.

German energy group E.on SE (ETR:EOAN) has decided to invest in the construction of a 475-MW onshore wind farm in Sweden jointly with Swiss investment manager Credit Suisse Energy Infrastructure Partners (CSEIP).

The independent directors of Tilt Renewables Ltd (NZE:TLT), the acquisition target of Infratil Ltd (NZE:IFT) and Mercury NZ Ltd (NZE:MCY), have once again advised against the suitors’ offer, considering it “inadequate.”
